Asbestos Awareness Training
When it comes to asbestos, we have an enviable reputation and track record for delivering asbestos training at all levels. Having been involved in asbestos for over 45 years, we not only understand the legislation, but our hands on experience over the years has given us the in depth knowledge that you get from being on the tools.
Getting Properly Trained
As a trades person yourself you know only to well how important it is to get the right level of training and understanding. Asbestos is a class 1 carcinogen and known to cause asbestos related diseases whenthe tiny minute fibres are inhaled, which makes it even more of a reason to be properly trained given that the work you undertake, could involve disturbing the fabric of the building, which if asbestos was present, could potentially if breathed in, affect your health later on in life.
What the Law Says
The IOM Government like other countries, has specific legislation in place to deal with asbestos by way of the Control of Asbestos (Application) Order 2022 and the Health and Safety at Work (Managing and Working with Asbestos Code of Practice)(Application)Order 2022. Regulation 10 ‘Information, Instruction and Training’, places a mandatory requirement to ensure that anyone who could come across asbestos as part of there normal everyday work has Asbestos Awareness Training.
This can be done in one of two ways by attending one of our UKATA registered classroom based half day asbestos awareness training courses, or by taking our UKATA registered online CBT e – learning courses. And what’s more, we are more than happy to come to you to deliver the training.
All our UKATA Courses are delivered by Ferncroft Environmental Ltd
