​Asbestos is subject to statutory legislation here on the Isle of Man, which means that stringent and strict controls must be adhered to. Firstly all asbestos waste must be placed into asbestos labeled waste sacks, which are then double bagged or wrapped and sealed in 1000gauge polythene and taped sealed. This in turn is then placed into polythene lined tote bags and then into sealed lockable waste containers ready for transporting to the Isle of Man Governments hazardous waste facility currently at the former Wrights Pit North site, at the Point of Ayre.

The asbestos labelled waste sacks are typically red and clear, 'UN' approved packaging (for ease of seeing that they are double bagged), sealed and transferred into one of our sealed containers ready for onward disposal. Typically the hazardous waste site only opens once a month, so planning the waste disposal is critical.​

Our waste collection service offers both containers for hire and a van collection service for smaller loads. Our fully insured vans for carrying asbestos waste have additional lockable waste storage compartments in each vehicle for added security  whilst on the roads.​
